Canadian War Museum

The Canadian War Museum is Canada's national museum of military history and one of the world's most respected museums for the study and understanding of armed conflict. The museum traces its origins back to 1880 and has since worked to preserve and share Canada's rich military history.

The museum's dramatic architecture, designed by Raymond Moriyama, incorporates many symbolic elements. Its grass-covered roof and copper fins are not only environmentally sustainable features but also reflect the theme of regeneration after war.

The museum's collections contain over 3 million artifacts, including military vehicles, artillery, uniforms, medals, and personal memoirs.
